I love McKinney.  It has such charm, such atmosphere and such unique wedding venues!  The McKinney Convention & Visitors Bureau just sent out a press release about just that.  I can honestly say in the past year, I’ve not coordinated one wedding that the ceremony was held in a church.  It’s a little strange, but since most were in McKinney, it’s totally understandable.  There are just so many non-traditional options!  Want a sneak peak?  Check out the article yourselves…  Here Comes the Bride! One of my absolute fave stores to just “shop” in is Posey Lane on the square in McKinney.  Kerrie is the owner and she has such fab taste, I just adore her fun stuff and time seems to stop when I’m in there.  (Much to my time management detriment)  She also has hundreds of different invitations to choose from for any occasion, including weddings, so with my love of stationery I tend to just get stuck in there.

Kerrie has now opened a wonderful little wedding section in her store that includes all kinds of items from famous event planner, Mindy Weiss.  It’s just so much fun I had to take a few pics and show you:

Kerrie was so kind as to put some of my “Anti To-Do List” cards out for brides-to-be.  Moral of the story?  Go to Posey Lane and check it all out!  I’m sure you can find all kinds of fun gifts for people you know, including brides-to-be, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc!

With the rising gas costs, many businesses are being forced to raise their prices.  I’ve had many prospective clients ask if I charge extra for gas.  So far, I have not.  However, I am considering adding an additional fee to packages for those that are outside a certain radius from my office.  I hate to do this, but unfortunately I’m one of those who loves her SUV.

Sorry for disappearing on everyone!  I just got a little crazy busy with all the tradeshows and weddings!  I had a meet & greet on February 23rd with Rev. Ari at Circle Park Bridal, then worked a wedding for another wedding planner on March 1st, then I had Ms. Jena and Mr. Dustin’s wedding on March 8th.  So, just a tad busy. :)  Jena & Dustin’s wedding was absolutely beautiful and touching, despite the crazy 6 inches of snow that turned most of outside into mush.  Wanna peek?  Here you go!
