TLC is kicking off filming of a new tv series called “Randy to the Rescue”, featuring Randy Fenoli from the already popular TV Series “Say Yes! to the Dress”. I can only imagine how popular this new show will be considering Randy’s personality and character. I just love watching him, don’t you? Would you like to get to meet him? Well, here’s your chance! The new show will be filming in Dallas and they are already selling tickets! Randy will be at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas on December 11th from 11am – 7pm. The ladies at Dillard’s wanted to create an event for couples to not only tour their Home department and create their registry, but for couples to meet with area wedding vendors and see some of the latest trends. All your Wedding Budget questions answered!
Pure Luxe Bridal has asked us to join them Tuesday night, June 21st, for a bit of a meet and greet with brides. We’ll be there from 6-8pm (yes, they are staying open late) to answer any questions related to wedding budget for free! This will be very casual, just stop by sometime during the two hours and ask away! We’ll have some handouts for you that include info like what vendors charge and what other brides are spending, so you’ll definitely get some great knowledge. Pure Luxe may be running some deals during these two hours too, so you’ll want to do some dress shopping too. You don’t want to miss out!

Oprah continues to give!
While we all know Oprah’s final show aired today and she will finally be getting the true break she deserves, she has been hard at work on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, and the giving tradition continues! Her network is announcing some new shows, but one in particular has caught our eye. Chris Hazel, the casting producer for one of these new shows, called us today to fill us in on “Don’t Tell the Bride”. While that may be ominous sounding, it’s actually a fab idea! Here’s the scoop:
“The hit UK show “Don’t Tell the Bride” is coming to America and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. We are casting dynamic couples who are currently engaged, but lack the funds to have a dream wedding. Each episode of “Don’t Tell the Bride” focuses on one couple’s big day and what it took to make the wedding happen. The bride and groom agree to avoid all communication with each other for three weeks before the ceremony. In exchange, the groom is given $25,000 to plan the entire wedding without the bride’s input. Have no fear; each groom ultimately creates a unique wedding to celebrate his true love!”
How great is that? Not only does the couple get essentially a free wedding, but the bride doesn’t have to stress over it for months! And who are we kidding, while the groom’s choices may not be perfect, they will be from the heart, which is what every bride truly values. Want to apply? Here’s the who and why:

McKinney Venues Open House Weekend!
Wow, two fab McKinney wedding venues will be open and showcasing their favorite vendors this weekend! First up is the Grand Hotel on the historic square in McKinney. As a part of Rick’s Chophouse, this very popular spot is one of the most elegant venues in McKinney. On Saturday, March 26th, it will be open for 11am – 2pm for you to check out this beautiful ballroom and the amenities they offer. As part of their preferred vendors, we will be showcasing along with many other talented vendors in their ballroom. No RSVP is necessary, so come on out and join us!
On Sunday, the newly opened McKinney Flour Mill will be open for brides to view, as well as having a showcase and dinner to talk about wedding receptions at the Flour Mill. Even better, they will be giving away great prizes, including a free wedding reception at the Flour Mill!
