This event is designed to help you find the right photographer for your wedding, so everything “clicks” into place! Click on the image below to get all the juicy details. You can’t beat learning how to find the perfect wedding photographer for you from the experts!
McKinney Venues Open House Weekend!
Wow, two fab McKinney wedding venues will be open and showcasing their favorite vendors this weekend! First up is the Grand Hotel on the historic square in McKinney. As a part of Rick’s Chophouse, this very popular spot is one of the most elegant venues in McKinney. On Saturday, March 26th, it will be open for 11am – 2pm for you to check out this beautiful ballroom and the amenities they offer. As part of their preferred vendors, we will be showcasing along with many other talented vendors in their ballroom. No RSVP is necessary, so come on out and join us!
On Sunday, the newly opened McKinney Flour Mill will be open for brides to view, as well as having a showcase and dinner to talk about wedding receptions at the Flour Mill. Even better, they will be giving away great prizes, including a free wedding reception at the Flour Mill! This will all be happening from 5-8pm and if you’d like to attend, please RSVP by visiting www.mckinneyflourmill.com. While this is a newly opened venue, it is a historic building with many charms.
With these to completely different venues, we hope to see you at both events!
Bridal Show at the Frisco Heritage Museum
If you like vintage, you are going to love the Frisco Heritage Museum! The museum has created a living village comprised of building representing the area’s rich history. The showpiece of the museum buildings (in our opinion) is the Frisco Lebanon Baptist Church, which is over 100 years old! They recently added the beautiful stained glass windows, but the original pews remain in the church and with the tin ceiling and wooden floors, it is very reminiscent of how it looked in 1904. The entire village for your vintage themed wedding.
Come see this beautiful chapel while attending the museum’s first bridal show on March 6th. They have hand-picked their favorite vendors to participate in their show, and we are honored to showcase there. The show is free and is from 1-5pm. For more information, visit www.friscovenues.com. We hope to see you there!
Tips for the Dallas Bridal Show Visitor
It’s that time again, the Dallas Bridal Show is here! For Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm, you can visit Dallas Market Hall and see the longest running and biggest bridal show in Dallas. While we at Each & Every Detail will not be showcasing at this event, we know that most brides will consider attending and we encourage you to experience this show, if for no other reason than to say you’ve been. It can be a daunting place to be, with thousands going in and out of the bridal show in these two days. However, you’ll get to see many, many vendors which gives you an idea of the products and services offered for weddings. Plus, hopefully you’ll some beautiful things that will give you ideas for your wedding. If you plan on going, we have a few tips for you to make it a little less daunting and for you to get more out of the experience.
1. Be comfortable! Comfortable shoes are a must and you can absolutely dress casual. Make sure to have a meal before going as you will be there for at least a couple of hours, if not longer.
2. Be prepared for the noise level. It gets LOUD in there. With all the vendors and visitors talking to each other, that’s enough, but you also have the music from different booths, announcements for events and contests, etc. While we don’t advise wearing ear plugs, just keep in mind that your ears will be inundated when you get there.
3. Bring labels. If you find a vendor you’d like to chat with, they will ask for your information. It cuts down on writing time if you have labels pre-printed with your name, email address, phone number and wedding date. Some will want your physical address, but this isn’t necessary. While some suggest you set up a separate email address so you are not inundated with wedding offers, we just recommend limiting who you give your email address out to. Of course, if you sign up for any contests, know that the vendor will contact you as you just gave them your contact info. That’s the purpose of the contests.
4. Use this experience to brain storm. No one expects you to go to a bridal show, meet all your perfect vendors and sign them on the spot. Take advantage of your time and just get a feel for what’s out there and see what vendors snag your attention. If you like someone, go ahead and set up a consultation. It saves both of you time instead of trying to remember to do it later. This is not a commitment to use the vendor, just to meet with them and learn more. If you’re not interested in a service, feel free to say so and move on.
5. Use common sense when evaluating vendors. Look at the vendors booth and see how much trouble they put into it. If they didn’t put out much effort, they may not be the most professional to deal with. If you don’t like their personality, you may not enjoy working with them. But if you like the booth, like the products they are offering and like their personality, bingo! They may be worth getting to know better!
6. Overall, go to enjoy the experience. Try out the games, the food, the cake and the shows. If you go in with the idea of having fun, you’ll enjoy it much more than just going in to cross off a list. Take your fiance, mom or a bridesmaid so they can give opinions on vendors, but make sure they are ready to have fun too. It’s no fun to drag someone through it, you want them to enjoy it too!
We hope you have fun this weekend, whether at the bridal show or not!

TLC’s Four Weddings looking for brides NOW!
In case you’ve missed it, TLC has a wedding show with a new perspective on things. It’s not a Bridezilla type show (thank goodness!) and it’s not a crazy planner show. It’s actually a reality show about 4 brides who get to attend each other’s weddings and vote to see who has the best one. Kinda different. I’ve watched it a few times and while I don’t really feel like brides should “rate” their friend’s weddings, it does give some insight as to how everyone sees their wedding and how they chose the elements in it. It’s great for the brides though, as they get a FREE 5 star honeymoon if their wedding wins. So, I pass along this notice in case anyone might be interested:
